Reduce, reuse, recycle: paper edition! đź“„ đź“ś In this STEAMwork nature spotlight, fight habitat loss by creating your very own paper. Ready to get your hands dirty, dreamers?

Tip: Save extra paper pulp by putting it into a resealable plastic bag and freezing it, or straining it, shaping it into a ball or block, and letting it air dry. Simply defrost it (if frozen) or re-soak it (if dried).

materials


  • recycled paper

  • scissors (be careful!)

  • wooden paper mold + deckle

    or make your own using foil and a plastic container lid

  • immersion blender or bowl with a fork and spoon

  • container of water

    must be bigger than your mold and deckle

  • sponge or rolling pin

  • towel
