Immerse yourself in the world of capoeira, a mix of Brazilian culture, music, and martial arts, with our friends from Capoeira Barro Vermelho DC. Starting at 4:25 pm, they’ll be performing a short capoeira routine, leading us in a special noise parade, and then offering an outdoor capoeira lesson on Woodrow Wilson Plaza. Capoeira is a Brazilian martial art disguised as a dance and performed to musical instruments and traditional Brazilian songs. Capoeira is a fun activity for kids that helps develop their coordination, flexibility, balance, focus, strength, and conditioning through martial arts, music, and instruments. Join us and get you and your little learners moving!
