4th of july activity: paper pinwheels
about
Activity Overview
Celebrate the Fourth with the science of pinwheels! Design and construct your own paper pinwheels using pre-cut templates, hole punches, brass fasteners, and popsicle sticks. After assembling your pinwheels, test how movement and airflow make their designs spin, exploring basic engineering concepts through hands-on making and play.
4th of July Activities
This is one of many activities celebrating our country’s 250th anniversary through the lens of the Museum’s own history! From July 1 through the 4th, we’ll be highlighting American scientists, thinkers, and changemakers with special hands-on programs based on moments and exhibits from National Children’s Museum’s past. Check out our events calendar to see the full list of activities!
