For Immediate Release

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 29, 2025) – National Children’s Museum announces a special community day on Saturday, November 8, 2025, in celebration of National STEM Day. The event will welcome guests free of charge thanks to the generous support of presenting sponsor, Topsoe, a leading global provider of technology and solutions for the energy transition.

The day will highlight the power of science, technology, and innovation through engaging STEAM (science, technology, engineering, arts, and math) activities and pop-up programs. Children and families can experiment with wind-powered projects and explore interactive exhibits designed to spark curiosity and creativity in young learners.

“We want children to leave our space feeling inspired and empowered to take on challenges and change the world,” said Kiryn Hoffman, President & CEO of National Children’s Museum. "Topsoe’s commitment to clean energy and innovation makes them a natural partner as we celebrate STEM Day. Together, we are expanding access to playful STEAM learning for more young learners in our community.”

“As a company, we believe it is our responsibility to take on a positive role within the communities where we operate in,” said Amy Chiang, EVP of Corporate Affairs at Topsoe. “STEM education is central to that vision – it equips the next generation with the skills and curiosity needed to solve some of the challenges facing our world today. We hope this partnership with National Children’s Museum helps inspire more young STEM learners in the D.C. area.”

This free Day of Discovery provides a unique opportunity for families to connect with interactive programs and exhibits offered at National Children’s Museum. Through joyful, hands-on learning experiences, the next generation of innovators, creators, and dreamers discover a love of learning and a passion for STEM that lasts a lifetime.

Free tickets will be available beginning October 1, 2025, via the Museum’s standard ticketing platform. Guests are encouraged to reserve their tickets early.
