National Children’s Museum Announces Appointment of Frederick Royall III to Board of Trustees

WASHINGTON – National Children’s Museum, a learn-through-play institution in downtown D.C. that sparks curiosity through science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) exhibits and programs, is pleased to announce the appointment of Frederick Royall III, Managing Director - National Head of Diverse Businesses at JP Morgan Chase, to its Board of Trustees.

“What an exciting time to welcome Fred to our Board—as our institution sets forth on years of mission-driven work and goal setting outlined by our 2025-2030 Strategic Playbook,” said Kiryn Hoffman, President and CEO of National Children’s Museum. “So much of our strategic plan is rooted in reaching new members of our community and expanding access to our offerings. Fred’s nuanced experience and insights will prove invaluable to our work.“

“Fred brings both deep expertise and a passion that align seamlessly with the Museum’s mission,” said Robert Volmer, chair of the Museum’s Board of Trustees. “He joins an exceptional group of Trustees representing a wide range of sectors—from community and business leaders to scientists, artists, and educators. His perspective will be a valuable addition to our Board and will help strengthen the Museum’s reach and impact.”

Frederick Royall III serves as the National Head of Diverse Businesses at JP Morgan Chase, leading a team of 20 bankers across the country to identify new opportunities and strengthen existing relationships with diverse women-, minority-, and veteran-owned businesses. With over twenty-five years of experience in capital markets, Royall’s prior role was CEO and Founder of Royall Capital Holdings, LLC, a boutique investment bank that raises capital for private, diverse middle-market companies. Previously, he was the Head of Investment Grade Debt Syndicate & Equity Capital Markets at Blaylock Robert Van, worked in the equity capital markets group at Credit Suisse First Boston, and began his career at Merrill Lynch & Co. Royall serves on the Board of Trustees for the Young Adult Institute (YAI) and co-chairs the finance committee of the Billion Dollar Roundtable (BDR). A recognized industry leader, Royall was named a Notable Diverse Leader in Banking and Finance by Crains, was recently selected for The Power100 List of Financial Executives, and is a frequent speaker and writer who has had several articles published in Fortune and Entrepreneur Magazine.
