Washington Color School Workshop
Registration for this event is now closed.
National Children’s Museum hosts its first live workshops with inaugural artist-in-residence, Tommy Bobo!
Join Tommy for a 30-minute, virtual program inspired by an art movement born right here in DC called the Washington Color School. We’ll draw inspiration from artists of this movement, including Alma Thomas and Gene Davis, to transform materials found in the classroom into iconic, bold statements of art! While this event is recommended for young learners in grades K-3, all ages are welcome to join.
Space is limited! RSVP to reserve your classroom’s spot today. We’ll be in touch with a list of necessary materials and access details ahead of the event. If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected].
